What is Teaching Made Simple?

Teaching Made Simple Ltd is an independent consultancy that specialises in leadership and management, focusing on in-school support and training courses. It was founded by Ian Coulson, who has decades of experience as a headteacher in a primary school rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED and he has experience as a consultant working in schools at varying levels. Teaching Made Simple can offer you a tailor-made solution to support your school progression and improvement.

What services do we offer?

Ian will become your school adviser in an annual package that will include the following:

• 3 full day (or equivalent half day) visits to the school per year to advise, support and assist in school improvement.
• Conducting the headteacher’s performance management.
• A support visit (or call) during Ofsted inspections.
• 24/7 telephone or on-line support.
• Availability to respond to school’s need in the interim.
• Data analysis (of IDSR / ASP and the implications for your school).
• Working closely with the Governing Body.
• Regular TMS news updates of important publications and developments (Ofsted publications summarised to save you time).
• Priority booking and discounts to training courses run by Teaching Made Simple Ltd.

There is the facility to offer the majority of these services remotely if preferred. All school visits will be subject to your Covid risk assessments/visitor policy.
